SUPERCAL's NFL PIX TOURNEY

Here's how it works...
There are 32 players from around the country.  Each player representing one NFL team.  Each week each player will pick the team he/she thinks will win each NFL game being played that week.  There are no point spreads or special rules.  You simply pick the teams you think will win each game.  If you have any difficulty submitting your pix online you may send your pix to russ@supercal.com   However this year I will not be receiving email on a regular basis and entering pix since most of the functions have been automated.

At the end of each week you will see how you did against the other players in your division and against everyone else in the tournament!  If for some reason you miss a week or are not able to get your pix in in time you will receive the same score as the lowest person's score for that week.  ie. if you forget to pick and the worst 'picker' of the week predicts 6 games correctly, you will also score 6 correct for that week.

In order to play you need to register and select your favorite NFL team (the team you will represent) There can only be ONE player for each NFL team so check the players listing to see if the team you want is already selected.  Players will be given slots on a first come first serve basis or at my discretion... in some cases preference may be given to players from the geographic region of the team they respresent... but in most cases I will go with first registered.  Players who participated last year will be given early invitations before  I attempt to fill empty slots. 

I am currently accepting registrations ONLY for players who played last year! If you want to play again this year for the SAME TEAM you played for last year then you can complete early registration and let me know you want to play again for the current season.

If you have a friend you would like to invite you are welcome to send them the address and let them register to play. Last years players are currently receiving priority.

Awards will be the same as last year.  Top Dog,  Nosepicker, Dolly and Ventura awards.

How the Playoffs work:
After the 17 weeks of the regular season, the best player in each division will make the playoffs.  The 2 players with the next best records in the Conference will be given wildcard spots.  These players will be able to continue picking through the playoffs until an eventual winner is named in Supercal's Superbowl VII!  More information on exactly how the playoffs work will be posted after the regular season.  Keep in mind that in cases where there are identical records the tiebreaker will be whoever has the most Ventura awards, if that is tied then tiebreaker is the least Dollys. VENTURA'S ARE THE 1st TIEBREAKER, THEN DOLLIES. Also whoever has picked best over the whole season is the home team which has distinct advantages ;)

You can update your pix online by resubmitting before the deadline (midnight before the day of the game) Top dog from the previous week will be allowed to submit short comments for each of the next weeks game. The comments of Supercal and Previous Week's Top Dog will be posted with the next week's schedule. :)

As soon as the registration phase is sorted out I will have the log-in setup!
